"I know what I want and it's not what I need."

This line sunk its teeth in and became a mantra of mine for the greater part of last year; a year of change that at times felt gradual and other times felt sudden though in retrospect, all of which exhibited the common thread of needed.

From self-reflection and goal outlining, to the start of new friendships and those that quietly unraveled, there was the beginnings of a new clarity, a new direction, or perhaps the reclaiming of a siloed direction. That's not that I have the next five years, or even one year, of my life planned out (that sounds more confining than comforting), but I do have a clearer sense of attributes that I value in those that I surround myself with, and those that bring me down; activities that enrich me, and what my soul is reaching for.

So here's the the wonderfully unexpected; a year of exploration, leaning in and furthering my figuring it out.
