Chet Faker and Banks Team Up on "1998"
A few weeks ago, Chet Faker and Banks released a remix of "1998," a track originally released on Faker's debut album, Thinking in Textures. The remix features both vocals and a brand new verse by Banks. Being two of my favorite atmospheric R&B/electronic artists, I was ecstatic to hear this collaboration.
We used to be friends
We used to be inner circle
I don't understand
What have I become to you
I discovered Banks last year when her song "Waiting Game" came on a playlist I was listening to. The song was then on repeat all week. Quickly taken by her dark R&B sound, I looked for more of her work and found a handful of YouTube videos she had released in preparation for her debut album, Goddess. While the entire album is edgy, alternative R&B/Pop gold, one of my favorite tracks is "Warm Water," a sexy saunter of a song.

Chat Faker has been on my radar since I heard his cover of "No Diggity." As for originals, one of my favorites is "I'm Into You" -- another sexy one for you.
I'm really diggin' the "1998" remix and would love to see them perform this together live. They each, individually, have a mesmerizing stage presence and I'm intrigued to see their chemistry performing it together.
My groovin' skeleton senses it'd be dynamite.
Have a sexy, sauntering Friday.
